Nothing is Wild

2019

Cooper Cole annex, Toronto

"Nothing is Wild blurs visions of value and dereliction with gold objects that bejewel storage walls, and broken trumpets that never imagined themselves as stowaway lamps. The pile of drawings – remnant tracings with gold bits bound by chance or mistake – hint at the artist’s constant effort to rejig concepts of currency, progress, and the agency of things.

In Nothing is Wild, everything is touched by the vibrancy of matter."
